Alaya Pratistha

Alaya Pratistha

Alaya Pratistha is a sacred ceremony performed for the consecration and sanctification of a newly built or renovated temple. It involves traditional Vedic rituals, prayers, homams, and the invocation of divine presence into the temple and its deities. Priests perform elaborate ceremonies with kalashas, sacred mantras, offerings, and abhishekam as part of the consecration. The ceremony is conducted to establish spiritual energy and create an auspicious atmosphere within the temple. Devotees participate with devotion and seek divine blessings for peace, prosperity, protection, and well-being. Alaya Pratistha marks an important and spiritually significant beginning for regular worship and temple celebrations.
